Mayor Brad has been a pioneer of economic redevelopment of East Brunswick, tackling blighted properties along Route 18. He has also spear-headed the creation of additional bike paths in town. Mayor Brad prides himself on governing the town in a financially responsible manner.
Mayor Brad was first elected to the East Brunswick School Board in 2010. Working with a dedicated group of Board Members, he helped navigate the schools through difficult economic times in wake of the recession and draconian cuts in State Aid. He was named Board President in 2014 and helped select the new Superintendent of Schools. Mayor Brad was elected Mayor in 2016.
As Mayor, Brad introduced the "Shop East Brunswick" program which allows residents to obtain property tax credits while supporting local businesses. Mayor Brad also introduced the "Estate Card" which also provides residents another option for property tax relief.
In the past 4 years, Mayor Brad has helped form or reorganize organizations in response to renewed interests in different parts of our community. These include the Arts Coalition, the Sustainability Committee, the Beautification Committee, the Clergy Council, the Redevelopment Agency, the Redevelopment Advisory Committee, and the East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Mayor Brad is a staple of East Brunswick. He's a neighbor, he's a friend, and he's been a resident for 27 years. He is a practicing gynecologist and is part of St. Peter's Physician Associates with an office in East Brunswick. Mayor Brad and his wife, Penny, have two children, Rachel and Daniel, who are both stellar graduates of the strong East Brunswick Public School System.
